ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT - HOME

Warrensville Heights is and had always been known as “The Friendly City”. This friendship is extended to our residents and business community too. Warrensville Heights is a city that has beautifully maintained homes, community active residents, a long and great educational history, and a thriving corporate community that is reflective of over 500 businesses.

Our Economic Development Department combines its resources to ensure that the economic climate of Warrensville Heights stays at a desired level. Our Economic Development Department staff works to attract new business, development new housing, secure municipal assisting grants from the City and residents, and help retain existing businesses here in Warrensville Heights.

In 2001, government leaders, local business stakeholders, and residents developed the City of Warrensville Heights Master Plan (view it at HERE )to advance Warrensville Heights as a signature city by providing a pro-business climate that attracts and retains quality jobs, businesses, and home buyers. The City's objective is to achieve economic self-sufficiency by becoming an employment center as well as a residential community.

From 2000 to present there has been incredible strides made in Warrensville Heights. Over $375 million dollars in new private investment was initiated including 1,300 new jobs created along with over 750,000 square feet of commercial office space. In addition, over 50 projects were completed during this course of time. The following new companies now call Warrensville Heights home:

Sherwin Williams Automotive Finish Group, South Pointe Hospital of the Cleveland Clinic Health System, Paychex, Bass Chevrolet, Marcus Thomas Advertising and Public Relations firm, Cleveland East Marriott Hotel, Gino's Trophy's and Awards Manufacturing, Heinen's Supermarket Corporate Headquarters, Cuyahoga Community Corporate College, Get Go/Giant Eagle, General Electric, Highlands Dental, Ohio Physical Therapy, Circle K, Chartwell Group, The DiSanto Companies General Landscape Development Corporation, and ORG Holdings.

Effective communication is the lifeblood of business, and assured access to a very attentive municipality is a major factor that attracts forward thinking businesses to Warrensville Heights. They have deemed that the City of Warrensville Heights possess such demeanor. With all of its small town flavor, Warrensville Heights has set itself in a tremendous position to attract quality business. Only a twenty (20) minute drive from Hopkins International Airport , which caters to both domestic and international travel, Warrensville Heights is well positioned to residents, future home buyers, businesses, and future businesses. The City has both on and off-ramps to two major interstates I-271 and I-480. These interstates travel in all directions, which links it with Cleveland and its wide variety of cultural and sporting events.
