The City of Warrensville Heights Service Department is responsible for providing refuse and recycle collections at curbside for our residential customers on designated days. A special pick up can be arranged by simply calling the Service Department at (216) 587-6570. A special pick-up is rubbish pick up any day other than your normal rubbish day. There is a $10.00 fee. The Service Department provides blue recycle bags for residents until 3:30 PM. After 3:30 PM bags can be picked up at the Senior & Civic Center.
During the winter months the Service Department is busy plowing and salting city streets. In addition, when snow accumulation exceeds six inches, our Service Department removes snow from your sidewalks. Other services provided by the Service Department are Leaf Collection, Landscaping, Street Striping, Asphalt/Concrete and Light Sewer. The Service Department is located 19700 Miles Road and open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

RUBBISH
Rubbish must be placed on the tree lawn between 7:00pm the day before collection and 7:00am on your collection day. Rubbish must be placed on the tree lawn as close to the curb as possible.
RECYCLING
All recyclable items are to be placed into plastic "blue bags" and placed on your tree lawn with your rubbish. All articles collected in "blue bags" will be 100% recycled. Any blue plastic bag may be used for recycling. Total maximum weight 50lbs. Must be tied at the top.
GLASS
All glass bottles and jars (no window glass, ceramic or pyrex, no lids from glass jars)
PLASTIC
Pop, milk and soap containers
ALUMINUM
All beverage cans and foil
NEWSPAPER
No glossy paper
Please rinse all recyclable items

Starting from the month of April thru the month of July, The Service Department will be closed the third Friday of the month, rubbish will be collected the preceding Thursday of the closed Friday, rubbish must be on tree lawn by 7am collection morning. The dates of closing are as follows:
April 16, 2010 - Pick-up date April 15
May 21, 2010 - Pick-up date May 20
June 18, 2010 - Pick-up date June 17
July 16, 2010 - Pick-up date July 15 |
