Ward 6 - Stanley Anderson
For more than forty years, Councilman Stanley Anderson has been a proud resident of the City of Warrensville Heights. In November 2013, the long-time community organizer was humbly elected to serve his first-term as councilman in Ward 6.
Councilman Anderson currently serves as the Chair of the Safety Committee, Vice Chair of the Community/Recreation Activities Committee, and member of both the Transportation and Building Committees.
Councilman Anderson is an active member of the NAACP, the Warrensville Heights Senior Club and Senior Police Academy, and the Warrensville Emergency Preparedness Plan (WEPP). He is also the Ward Leader of the Tri-City Democratic Club, representing Highland Hills/North Randall/Warrensville Heights, and a member of the Cuyahoga County Democratic Party Chairman's cabinet.
Additionally, he is a trained member of the Southeast Community Emergency Response Team (Southeast CERT).
Councilman Anderson proudly served in the US Navy as a medic in the Vietnam War. After his honorable discharge, Councilman Anderson worked for General Motors for more than 35 years, retiring in 2003.
Councilman Anderson is committed to being responsive to the needs of his constituents, seeing that improvements are made and problems are addressed efficiently, while lending an attentive ear to anyone that requests his assistance.
