Issues 10 & 11: Police & Fire Tax Renewal Levies

This spring, the City of Warrensville Heights has placed two vital renewal levies on the May 5th ballot to support the City’s safety services. Issues 10 & 11, the City’s Police & Fire levies, are renewals and will NOT raise your taxes.

Each levy is less than $12 a year per $100,000 of your home value, and will generate more than $100,000 annually for each department. Issues 10 & 11 will support the Warrensville Heights EMS, fire services, and Police Department including, equipment, first responder emergency vehicles, and lifesaving equipment.

Unlike more recent safety levies, the State of Ohio will continue to pay 12.5% of the total levies in the form a residential tax credit to Warrensville Heights property owners, a credit has been eliminated for new or replacement levies passed by voters after December 1, 2013.
